Somebody Stop Me!
I hit up Target this week to check out the post-Valentine’s Day sales. I didn’t find much more than candy I DON’T need in my house. What I DID find was busy Target staff putting together some outdoor furniture displays. Oh my goodness! This season’s line is so beautiful that I’m REALLY considering upgrading my outdoor furniture set-up.
To this point, I have settled for a collection of used furniture cobbled together from different places, which I have repainted and reupholstered to coordinate. This has worked alright, but several of these pieces are now a little worse for the wear, having been subjected to the whims of South Texas weather.
The Halsted Collection by Threshold
I love the clean lines of this all-weather wicker collection. It’s steel frames are rust and weather resistant and can hold up to 500 pounds. The comfy cushions are wrapped in resilient acrylic fabric that holds up to the elements.
The Eldridge Collection by Smith & Hawken
This collection feels comfy and breezy with its lighter colored all-weather wicker and overfilled white cushions. The aluminum frames are rust and weather resistant and can hold up to 250 pounds.
The Fernhill Collection by Threshold
This collection, in contrast to the other two above, features a wrought iron look with its minimalistic coated steel frame. The thick cushions provide comfortable seating and weather-resistant fabrics promise to hold up to the elements.
